Grandma was in hospital, after having a baby boy; born on the 8th of April, 1954.
My Mamma had to get all dressed up, and then she was to go to the hospital where Grandma was recovering. She had to get her attire approved by her mother first, before heading off to present a bouquet of flowers to The Queen Elizabeth II, at Fort Railway Station, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The baby (Mamma's brother-our uncle) was later named Rex, in honour of the Royal Visit! Rex means 'reigning king'.
